As a child, Devon dreamed of becoming a gymnast, but her height prevented her from achieving this. Devon's first foray into the  industry began at the age of 19, performing exotic stripteases in clubs in her native Pennsylvania. During this time, Devon made numerous connections and received lucrative offers from modeling agencies. In 1998, Devon moved to California and signed with Penthouse, debuting with New Breed that same year. Following her debut, Devon signed with Vivid Entertainment and contributed to a photo spread for the men's magazine Stuff. In January 2001, she was named "Pussy of the Month" by Penthouse magazine, while simultaneously working for Vivid Entertainment.
